Every Year we make a resolution to change something, anything or everything.

By January 2, we are back to our old selves.

It's easy to make changes when you have a major life event, like cancer, heart attack or a near death experience.

But when you have not had a big scare, making changes is really really hard.

Since you already know what you need to change and don't need the outside world to tell you...start by writing it down.  Imagine what your life would be like with the change made.  Think about how life would be if you didn't make the change.  Then give yourself easy to reach goals and great rewards for accomplishing the change or new behavior.

You can't just stop a have to understand why you have it, what causes it and then replace the habit with a new one. Once replaced find something you crave to make you do the new habit over and over's the carrot at the end of the stick making you do the new habit, especially when Jan. 3 and 4 come along:)

Finally, read the book "The Power of Habit" by Charles Duhigg....It describes why we do what we do in business and life and is a great read for helping create real change in your world.

Happy Happy Happy!
